FREE CLOTH BAGS – NO PLASTIC BAGS

As per the initiative of Honorable Ms.Zartaj Gul, Minister of Climate Change, Govt of Pakistan regarding banning of single use plastic bags in the federal capital as well as in other cities, Pakistan with collaboration of The Marketing Factory & Group Marco LLC commenced a massive campaign to distribute 20,000 cotton fabric bags in three cities of Pakistan.
Addressing a ceremony titled “Plastic Free Pakistan” at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, said an effective awareness campaign should be run to sensitize people about hazards of polythene bags. Dr Shireen Mazari said we need to discourage the use of plastic and polythene bags not only at official level but also at domestic leve and educate society about the hazardous and destructive effects of polythene bags.

In continuation to this spirit International Human Rights Commission Pakistan in collaboration with The Marketing Factory & Group Marco LLC being the official Partner of IHRC in Pakistan for organizing & executing events including education, trainings & Human Rights awareness has executed the IHRC Campaign “SAY NO TO PLASTIC BAGS” & visited different markets and shopping areas distributed fabric bags FREE of cost to domestic people and raised the awareness of hazards of polythene bags.

The campaign was titled as “Say No Plastic Bags” and aimed to make a clean green Pakistan.The campaign was executed on the directives by the Secretary General Sir Rafał Marcin Wasik & was executed by H.E. Mohsin Durrani Ambassador at Large-Regional Head Asia Region & Advisor UN Affairs. The campaign was funded jointly by IHRC Pakistan & The Marketing Factory – A Brand Activation Company / Group Marco LLC with the manufacturing & distribution of approximately 20000 Fabric bags with IHRC logo across Pakistan.
